This Order amends the list of public authorities in Part3 of Schedule19 to the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) which are subject to the public sector equality duty in section149 of the Act. That is a duty to have regard to the need to eliminate discrimination, harassment, victimisation and any other conduct that is prohibited under the Act, to advance equality of opportunity and to foster good relations between persons who share a relevant protected characteristic and persons who do not share it.
